Pachavit Kasemsap, MD, FACS

Dr. Pachavit Kasemsap is a board certified surgeon in South Florida. He stays current with the latest surgical procedures, including both traditional and laparoscopic (minimally invasive) surgery. Dr. Kasemsap is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He graduated from Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, MO and he completed his general surgery residency at University of Illinois, Chicago. After residency, he entered active duty in the US Air Force. He served his country proudly for a total of nine years and reached the rank of Lieutenant Colonel prior to his honorable discharge. While in the military, he established a Bariatric Surgery (weight loss operations) program that was recognized as a Center of Excellence by Air Force Headquarter. In addition Dr. Kasemsap also served as a Flight Surgeon for the 561st Fighter Squadron. He specializes in laparoscopic surgery, hiatal hernia repairs, oncologic (cancer) surgery, minimally invasive hernia repairs, and the Lap-Band surgery. He has privileges at Northwest Medical Center, University Hospital and Medical Center, Park Creek Surgery Center, and Coral Springs Medical Center. Dr. Kasemsap has a passion for continuous lifelong learning and is currently enrolled in the University of Miami’s MBA program for Health Sector Management.
